A LETTER FROM ROBERT BOND

Concerning bone-marrow transplantations for the Crimean children in US

We are working with our social workers on the issue of the payment for the transplant. As you know our hospital is not-for-profit organization founded and funded by Alfred I. duPont. Our mission is to help children cure and cope with their disease.

The finance side of the transplantation is a complicated issue. We understand the financial situation of the people in Ukraine and other states of former Soviet Union. The cost of transplant that would cover all the transplant expenses is ~$180,000.

At this time we are actively looking into resources available to us, to cover the expenses for the children coming from abroad.
On your part we need the information on the patient(s) that you feel will need the transplant in the near future. Also, you can look for the sponsors, since you know that you have a center that will take your children.

The first payment should be in the amount ~ $90,000 and the rest could be spit into monthly/yearly payments. Again, we understand that for family in Ukraine it is extremely high price for the transplant and would encourage the family to look for a corporate sponsor.

If you need any medical information or advice we will be happy to assist you in that matter.

The clinical information can be forwarded to us in .JPG format in Russian or Ukrainian, as I myself was born and raised in Kharkov.

We will keep you posted on the result of our search for sponsors and financial options

Sincerely,
Robert Bond
